Quick Update 2023-01-07: I found out that if you don't properly close the lid (hear a click) or if the lid pops open a bit, that's when the kettle won't shut off for some reason. I haven't had this issue since making sure the lid is tightly closed! :)Right out of the gate I'll put it out there that this kettle does what it needs to do and does it well! It's curb appeal is also something that will spruce up any kitchen and it's easy to clean and maintain!There are a few weird things that I took a star off for though... From a reputable company like Hamilton Beach, you would have thought that they would have added a bit more attention to the little details.This time, I'll start with the cons:1) The lines for water level are not greatly visible if you're filling it up with your left hand. Not sure why they could just duplicate the decals on both sides. Not the end of the world again but just the little things.2) The mesh filter at the front has a gap around the outside. (Picture #2). When you pour the water out, a lot of it goes around the filter so I'm not quite sure the purpose of it...3) The reason I took the star off mainly is because (like other reviews) it didn't stop a few times (so far) after the water was boiling. This is a bit concerning if you are like me and start the kettle, get distracted by work, and come back to an almost empty kettle still boiling away... It doesn't take long to boil so just stick with it and this can be avoided.Pros:1) Very modern and sleek looking2) Boils water very quickly3) Easy to clean and maintain4) Lid does "click" and stay open if you pull it straight up. I realized this too late but it makes filling it a lot easier.All in all, I think it's a great addition to any kitchen!
