Construction- Thin stainless steel, so very lightweight. Filling it with water makes it heavier.- I got the 2L model. It is barely 2/3 the size of a 2.2L steel/enamel kettle from a few years ago (the 2.2L other manufacturer's kettle had a plastic whistling spout that broke off). But this kettle is still sizable enough to fill my 18 oz. Thermos (tm) with water for tea.- Body has no enamel lining. This is just one continuous shaped piece of stainless steel.- Not a whistling tea kettle.- Includes a removable tea strainer; I doubt I will use it for tea, but maybe (probability < 5%) for fruit.- Spout has a hinged lid. This is helpful for keeping water warm after boiling, for the second cup of tea. You need to flip back the spout lid to pour, and this is easy to do.- "Stay cool" handle doesn't stay cool enough to safely hold through duration of pouring a Thermos(tm)-worth of water. But the handle is fine if wrapped in a paper towel or potholder during pouring.- Handle flips down easily for filling the body with water.- Lid removes from body easily for filling the body with water.- Looks nice. Minimalist.Operation- Easy to fill.- Super well-balanced during pouring, much better than any other tea kettle I've had or used. REMARKABLE. BEST FEATURE OF KETTLE IS HOW NICELY IT BALANCES DURING POURING.- Lid is easily removable with a large enough opening so I expect I can get my small hand inside to clean it. I couldn't easily clean the inside of my other manufacturer's 2.2L tea kettle.I paid $15.69. It took about ten days to arrive; Amazon said it would take at least 30 days to arrive (shipped from China). Overall, I'm pleased with the tea kettle and glad I tried a new-to-Amazon product. I look forward to years of use.
