Works great, thermometer accurate. Just a heads up for those brewing beer with all grain ingredients for 5 gallon recipe. The 8 gallon version is slightly to small especially when using a brew bag. My first batch of beer was a failure because malt grains weren't soaking sufficiently (and the malt bag was tied up). So if you use the 8 gallon make sure the malt bag is open so all grains soak..
