This little guy gets to the perfect dialed in temp for tea and pour over coffee fast. I even use it to get my water the correct temp for blooming yeast for my pizza dough. I had a “hold temp” feature as well. 100% recommend. If you are looking for something to just heat water, this kettle is probably fine. But it struggles to reach a precise temperature. I set mine at 204 degrees and the kettle temperature will just hover between 201 and 203 and take forever to actually get to 204.Since I received my black kettle couple weeks ago, I use it everyday!I use it to make my oolong tea and brew coffee with it.These are the reasons why I love it:1. Quick Boiling Mode: I like the quick boiling mode cuz I can just press the button and leave it there. The water will be ready within 10 minutes (mostly around 6), which makes it easier for me to make my morning tea. (You will get a beep when it boils.)2. To-the-degree Design: My dad also loves it cuz it heats the water to the exact temperature he wants. It usually reaches the degrees within 5 minutes? He used to put a thermometer in our old stovetop kettle and stare at it for like 10 minutes? Now he can do the dishes while the kettle is heating :)3. Energy Saving: We both think its “standby mode” is just right. We’ve tested and it can hold the temperature up to 10 minutes. It’s not holding too long to waste the energy.4. Pouring Performance: I think the handle is easy to grip with my fingers and the overall body design does balance the kettle pretty well so I can maintain a steady pour.5. Heating Sound: This is also commended by my uncle. He is a coffee geek LOL so he cares about every detail while making coffee. He loves the sound the kettle makes as it heats up, which is not noisy but is enough to be the morning background “music”.6. Excess Cord Storage: There’s a cord wrap below the base! It’s easy to store the extra cord so that it can perfectly fit the corner of the kitchen.7. Stylish Look: As for its design, I think it’s a nice cross between classic and modern. It’s not as fancy as Fellow’s, but it does fit our kitchen with the rest of the coffee/tea collections. Still, I’m looking forward to the day when the brand will offer different colors as more of an option. A matte white, grey or walnut handle would look nice too. (Personally not a big fan of stainless steel)There’s only a few issue and a little suggestions about this kettle:1. Tight Lid: I think the lid is too tight to remove smoothly, yet my brother thinks it’s ok cuz it prevents leaking problems.2. Size (0.8L): Since our family use it more than twice everyday (and we definitely need more water when we have guests), refilling it was a bit of a hassle. Will get a bigger kettle next time, but still, this doesn’t make us love it any less. Ovalware can think about making a bigger one.Overall, it’s a really nice kettle. Not only does it look amazing but it works well too! I will definitely recommend you to get one?Thank you Ovalware! Shout out for this one!!!!!Solid electric kettle. Gives you precision heating on tea or coffee pours. The kettle aspect is solid, easy to clean ( i just let a little white vinegar sit and swirl, then give it a fuel rinses ).The neck gives a steady pour, and can be controlled easily for pour overs. It handles tipping well, and it never sputters. It does take a little practice starting the pour, as it can drip along the neck if not done with enough momentum. This can sometimes make pours with gradual drips or intermittent pours a bit messy if you are inexperienced like me.Controls are kinda like a calculator, nothing fancy. I'm not one to measure its accuracy, but it boils at 212F.I find when I want an active boil, the temperature will remain at 212 with only light simmering. But when it drops to 211, and you throttle the heat up, it will then going to an active audible boil. If there were some type of 'overboil' button to allow me to flare the heat to the max even at 212, just before removing the kettle, I feel like that would be a nifty feature for people who want it HOT right before the pour.I've had the temperature struggle with exact degrees. Sometimes, not always, if you set it to an exact degree, it will hover around that degree and say 'good enough' basically. A few degrees doesn't matter much, but might be to those who are picky about it.It would be really nice if Ovalware offered a Mokapot attachment that could use the heating module. I would be that in a heartbeat. This kettle is awesome! We absoluletly love the fact we can control the temperature to 1C precision (it can be configured for F as well). This works great for example for Puers which required 88C. The capacity is good (about 750-800ml) and will fill most teapots. It would be better if it had a little more capacity for example when you have to rinse tea or for large teapots. The interface is good AND SIMPLE but future models could improve and make it more obvious when the water is actually heating. The word 'Heating' blinks but I have to do a double-take everytime I start water. All that without breaking the bank - awesome product! It took me a while to find a variable temp kettle that also displays the current/actual temp. Bought this for making baby formula on demand, heating up distilled water to 42C then cooling it a bit. Much faster than using a bottle warmer. The spout pours precise amounts and the design looks sharp. Worked better for us than the baby brezza that we ended up returnung, which justified a higher cost tea kettle that we'll use for it's main purpose of making tea/coffee later on. Very happy with this purchase. This product is very well priced in comparison with other similar Pour Over Kettles and it does the job. It doesn't hold a lot of water so it is good for maybe one or two people to make tea or coffee. Overall I am very happy with the kettle and would definitely recommend it.Me gusto mucho el diseño y lo fácil de usar.Lo uso poco pero me fue muy útil para calentar el agua a la temperatura deseada paraPreparar biberones cuando mi sobrino estuvo de visita en mi casa.No usen microondas! Was nervous from reviews saying the lid was hard to remove, but it wasn't difficult at all! Yes, there is a bit of resistance but you get used to it. I love the dial where you can control the temperature and you can convert the temperature (thank goodness , because a lot of other kettles have them set as Fahrenheit).Boiling was simple, quiet and quick. No complaints yet.I got mine nicely packed but it had some weird white residual blotches on my kettle. Wasn't too pleased with that, but easily washed off. Just don't know how good the quality check was...Overall, good higher end kettle without hurting your wallet too much.
