The kettle is fine. Not beautiful or special. I was pretty surprised at the prices of kettles, and didn't want to spring for a pricey kettle. This one is small but fine for a few cups of tea. Color is okay but pretty mundane looking. So, if it's just a utilitarian kettle you want, or don't want a pricier choice, this is a good choice. That's because this tea kettle does not and has never whistled. However, it looks really nice on my stove, and boils water fine too. I read the reviews, and decided to buy it anyway, even though other customers said their teapots didn't whistle. I like it, but I am sorry now that I bought it, because I have to stay near when I make tea.I was looking for a tea kettle that was affordable and red for my red kitchen, and when I came across this one I thought it was perfect. I liked the look of the stainless steel against the red. When it came and I opened the box I was amazed at how chic the kettle looked, I was very happy that I chose the stainless steel/red combo instead of a different completely red kettle. I followed the instructions for first time and continual uses, which I would recommend everyone should do. I used my old kettle to make tea almost every night. I used it immediately and it heated up quickly, whistled, and was everything I could expect in a nice kettle. Excellent bargain in my opinion if you would prefer not to spend $40 or $50 or more on a kettle. Its very pretty! It heats water great! Two things that bother me about it.It doesn't whistle very loudly, and the handle gets very warm.I need to use a pot holder to pour the hot water.Meh. It does its job. Just not an OUTSTANDING product.Discolored handle!Kind of flimsy and cheap-looking. The tea pot has a cute and "different" style, but it looks a little "cheesy" after having a Chantal! However, at the time, I was looking for something inexpensive.. Don't forget - You get what you pay for!I love this tea kettle! Easy to clean, sturdy, and looks fantastic. This is my 6th tea kettle in 20 years and my favorite so far. I use it several times a week in the winter, if not every day, and it's holding up great and still looks new.next time I'll get a 3-quart -- still a little small for my preference. It's cute, and the handle feels good and doesn't get too hot. It whistles well. Rusty spots developed quickly along the bottom rim.Just a few days after receiving the kettle developed a fisure in the area where the spout meets with the main body of the kettle. Then when you tip it to pour the hot water, drops of hot water drip from that fisure and make a mess of the serving. The return time had unfortunately passed when we started using this product otherwise it would have gone straight back. Definitely the quality of this product is not at all coherent with its price, neither are its looks and appearance. A real regrettable purchase.almost perfect. I am annoyed by the handle that makes the refills difficult, but won't penalize the item, I was aware of it when I bought it. I like the solidity of the handle and the fact the blue material is applied on the whistle, allowing me to open the spout without burning my fingers. Good size, cute shape, a permanent presence on my stove ☺️This is a really nicely designed kettle, however, it is much smaller than it appeared in the picture on Amazon. It was replacing an old stainless steel kettle that was much bigger than this one, and I thought this was about the same size.base is smaller than I thought so can't use with my gas stove, otherwise goodHandle heats up and moves
